I love the Zrii Purify cleanse and usually do it at least 4 times a year. Based in Ayurvedically sound principles, this cleanse is 7 days and super easy to do, AND, you don't need to be chained to the bathroom for several days. I love how easy and gentle it is. For more information, contact me at joanna@thekalyanacentre.com for more information or for guidance as to how best you can maximize the effectiveness of this product. Digestive Fire, or Agni, must be strong, particularly in the transition times in between seasons. Now is an ideal time to do a cleanse to rod the body of toxins that have been accumulated even if your diet and lifestyle habits are on track. We are assaulted every day by toxins that deplete Agni. Not only do we digest our food in Ayurveda, but we also digest our experiences - through the five senses and extra senses. The toxic residue, or Ama, from undigested food and experiences goes within and wrecks havoc. - via #Ayurveda

Vata Season is upon us! As the weather goes from hot & humid to cooler and windy, this is a transitional time to which we need to pay attention to our health. Vata Dosha is made up of the elements of Space (Akasha) and Air (Vayu) and so the these qualities will begin to predominate in our weather and in our physiology. This means we may experience more dryness, unpredictability, sensitive digestion, mind chatter, constipation or even anxiety. Since we are between seasons (Ayurvedically speaking), these are transitional times when we should be more mindful about tending to the needs of our body/mind. Stay tuned for tips to bring more stability and routine into your life (which is the best way to balance Vata)! Learn more at www.drjoannacarmichael.com or www.thekalyanacentre.com - via #Ayurveda

Not only are people described by doshic qualities that pre-dominate their mind and physiology, but there are also doshic parts of the body, doshic times of the lifespan, doshic periods of the day and doshic times of the year! We are now in the Pitta season - a season dominated by fire. The outward manifestation of Pitta is the sun. The fire within us is called Agni. Strong Agni helps us digest not only our food, but also our emotions and things experienced through the 5 senses. What do you think are the signs of strong agni or digestive fire? - via #Ayurveda
