Be like the sun for grace and mercy. Be like the night to cover others' faults. Be like running water for generosity. Be like death for rage and anger. Be like the Earth for modesty. Appear as you are. Be as you appear. - via #Yoga

People want you to be happy. Don't keep serving them your pain! If you could untie your wings and free your soul of jealousy, you and everyone around you would fly up like doves. - via #Yoga

Over the past few weeks, I have been doing yoga like I normally do twice a week and I have noticed that during shavasana or the meditation and relaxation that I do towards the end of the class that my mind just will not be calm. I can try to focus on my breathing and it still does not help. For the longest time I was fine but I have so many thoughts running through my head all the time and I seem to just lay there and not be mentally relaxed.. Any yogi's able to help ? - via #Yoga

My first yoga class. The hero pose. I hear: This pose will make you strong and self-confident. My thought was:Yeah, right.. It's been five years now and I feel like having changed a lot since that day. It didn't happen overnight, it was more of an evolution. I don't want to bore you with all the benefits of yoga I experience, let me just name a few. I worry less nowadays, I don't panic anymore when things go wrong, I stay calm. I accept things I cannot change. I accept and love people as they are. I judge less. I'm able to admit that I don't know something. I try to be thankful for what I have and not to desire things I don't need. I try to live in the moment, be good to myself and to the world around me. Better eat, better sleep, smile a lot, make more compliments..I strive to be as authentic as possible in every aspect of my life. I'm still pretty far from being strong and self-confident but after these five years I believe it is possible. Incorporating yoga in your life can really change it. I hope you will share some of your experiences. - via #Yoga

When I'm practicing at home in the morning, once I get to savasana, I get really impatient and just want to get up and get going with my day (yoga is the second thing I do in the morning, only after brushing my teeth). Just how bad is this? Can someone put in to perspective for me what I'm missing when I skip savasana? - via #Yoga

Hi, i'm looking to start yoga, but there are so many different types and i'm not sure what to do, so i was wondering if you could help me out. So, a little info first, i go to a gym, but they don't offer classes, and i can't afford them on top of my membership. What i'm looking for is something to practice after workouts and in the mornings to help me relax and improve my flexibility, something simple as i'm a total noob. thanks in advance for your help :) - via #Yoga
